I will be working on updating the Metro RIC WX Blog this weekend. The update will include a new layout and format, more information and faster weather updates, more media like photos and videos, and other features. I'll play around with it and see what works best.

Another Hot Week
Looks like RIC is in for another hot, muggy week. Today (June 21st) is the first official day of summer. The summer solstice begins on Jun 21 2011 at 1:16 P.M. EDT.
The normal high temp for the day is 85* and the low is 65*.
In other wx news, the Plains States are getting hit hard by tornadoes and severe weather.
